Experienced International Sales Representative 32-40 hours Amsterdam

SOWISO helps university educators with the teaching of mathematics to non-mathematics majors. Our online learning and testing environment helps countless teachers and students in higher education realize their potential. Since our establishment in 2010, we have supported tens of thousands of students in The Netherlands, and we have spent the last few years focussing on scaling internationally.

Further international growth is an important aspect for our company. SOWISO is therefore looking for an experienced sales professional to lead and realize our international growth ambitions.

By joining our commercial team, you will take on a leadership role where you use your experience, attention to detail and growth mindset to set plans in motion for further international expansion.

Your role will be two-fold. A portion of your day-to-day will be spent on improving and managing the international growth efforts, as well as fostering a proactive, and results-driven environment for the sales team. Secondly, you will also be taking an active role driving lead qualification, initial outreach efforts and lead nurturing.

Your role will consist of…

  • Managing our international sales strategy, including ideating new avenues of opportunity
  • Setting and achieving international sales targets
  • Driving the lead generation process
  • Reaching out to leads and responding to their inquiries

Apart from the above responsibilities, you will also work closely with your marketing colleagues to ensure that our marketing and sales efforts are properly aligned. This will involve participating in ideation sessions regarding marketing and branding strategies as well as giving feedback on existing campaigns. You will also be working closely with our colleagues who are responsible for customer success management and customer support.

We are looking for someone who…

  • Has at least 3 years experience selling a SaaS tool to the (higher) education market
  • Has at least 3 years experience with international sales
  • Is fluent in written and spoken English
  • Is available for 32-40 hours per week (fewer hours per week can be discussed)
  • Is able to be at our Amsterdam office at least 2 days a week
  • Has a valid work permit or is an EU citizen

Bonus points if you…

  • Have an affinity with mathematics and/or education
  • Experience in leading/mentoring junior sales representatives
  • Speak Dutch, French, Spanish and/or German fluently
  • Know your way around a Nintendo GameCube ;)
